Govt. College of Commerce & Business Administration, Sector -50 Chandigarh in association with RUSA, has organized a Seven Day National Level Faculty Development Program on “Analytical Techniques of Research” from 28th March to 3rd April 2016 to hone and improve the research quality of the faculty members and research scholars of various colleges in the region. 40 participants from different colleges attended the program. The Eminent Resource Persons who conducted the training are
- (Dr) Sanket Vij – Professor -Department of Management Studies, at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, Haryana (BPSMV),
- Neeraj Kaushik – Associate Professor at National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra a renowned resource person in Marketing Research.
- Balwinder Singh – Department of Commerce and Business Management at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Secretary, Indian Commerce Association Dr. Sanjay Rastogi – Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi Specialised in Quantitative Techniques, Business Research Methods, Econometrics.
The FDP was sponsored by Director Higher Education Chandigarh Administration under RUSA project. Principal, Manjit Kaur was the chief guest for the valedictory function. She congratulated the participants and said that research skills learned by them should be put to use for highlighting social issues. She further said that an education institute can only grow if its faculty and students can identify and work on the social, economic or political issues and problems. These research tools and techniques will help them to better analyse and investigate the issues and come up with credible suggestions.
