Government College of Commerce and Business Administration Sector 50 Chandigarh celebrated 68th Republic day in the college campus with great patriotic zeal and enthusiasm today. Principal Mrs. Manjit Kaur unfurled the National flag. The colourful programme started with National Anthem followed by students presenting speeches and poems to share their commitment and bond for the love of their country to mark the importance of the day. Speaking on the occasion Principal exhorted the that our constitution is based on principles of Equality, Fraternity & Liberty and it is our constitution that gives us freedom of speech & expression and therefore we must use this right judiciously in this transitional phase that we are going through. She also emphasized that it is our moral duty to preserve our national heritage and value system which is degrading with time. Principal also appreciated the efforts of the students that despite the weather conditions  they managed to come and participate in full spirit. She further encouraged them by saying that the ultimate goal of education is to make them a better human being and they should  further take the reigns of the college in their own hands and spread value system as GCCBIAN. Vice Principal Amarpreet Sijher also addressed students on the occasion and  highlighted that in this stage of “Informational Inquilab we should not forget the sacrifices of our unsung heroes and we need to sustain ourselves with our traditional values.
