GCCBA, Sector 50, Chandigarh organised its Ninth Annual Athletic Meet with great zeal and fervour. Dean Dr. Rosy Walia, extended a warm welcome to the august gathering. The Chief Guest for the Annual Sports Day Mrs Manjit Kaur, Principal inaugurated the function and declared the sports meet open. While speaking on the occasion she addressed the students laying emphasis on forming an attitude to reach the highest in life and the importance of sports in life. She also praised Deepak Singh of B.Com-II for winning gold medal in the P.U. Inter College, Chandigarh Senior State and Senior National Boxing Championship after beating Davindro Singh who was two time Olympian and silver medalist in Commonwealth games. He is likely to represent India at international level. Divleen of B.Com-I won silver medal in Chandigarh Senior State Cycle track events and Pavit of BBA-III for winning bronze medal in Senior National Roller Hockey Championship. Various track and field events and games were organised. Fun games like Musical chair, Balance on one leg, Spoon and Lemon race, slow cycle race, and skipping were specifically enjoyed by the students. Around 50 Prizes were awarded to the winners of various events held during the day.
