Government College of Commerce and Business Administration Sector 50, Chandigarh organized 6th MANAGEMENT & IT FEST “YUVCLIQUE 2018” the mega event in college today. The event was organized by Management Club ‘Gestione’ and IT society ‘Tech-Infomatics’. Event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Sh Davesh Moudgil. (Mayor, Chandigarh). Prof. Pahlad Aggarwal (Retired as Deputy Director Higher Education (Colleges), Chandigarh Administration) and Founder and Former Principal GCCBA 50 Chandigarh was the Guest of Honour who also graced the occasion. Principal Dr. Manjit Kaur welcomed the guests and participants.
Yuvclique 2018 had a plethora of events spread over the day including literary events, fine arts events, cultural events, IT events and Fashion show. Students showcased their versatility, creativity and dynamism. The fest attracted a large crowd which consisted of students, Teaching faculty and special guests from reputed colleges/Business Schools of Chandigarh and Punjab. Also there was an entertaining and rocking performance by a Punjabi Singer Romeo who enthralled the audience with his singing during the fest.
GCCBA-50 Chandigarh the host college was declared as Overall Best Team Yuvclique 2018 as they bagged the maximum prizes during the events. Mr Saurav Sharma of BBA I and Ms Ishita of M.Com I was declared as Mr & Ms YUVCLIQUE 2018. Mr Ayush Sehgal of BBA II was declared as Mr Personality & Ms Akanksha of M.Com I was declared as Ms. Charming
The Chief Guest at the Valedictory function Sh Abhay Sood Managing Director, ST Bikes (Ludhiana) appreciated the enthusiasm of host college and congratulated students and whole team for the success of the fest and wished them luck for their future endeavours. Prof. Dr.Rosy Walia extended the vote of thanks. The event concluded with prize distribution followed by a dance and DJ session for all the participants, prize winners, organizers who contributed their efforts to make this event successful.
Drug De-addiction Society (VADA) of Govt. College of Commerce and Business Administration Sector-50, Chandigarh in collaboration with Consumer Voice, Delhi organised Annual Road Safety Week on the theme of “5 Days 5 Pledges- for Road Safety from1st to 7th February .This event represents a significant opportunity to call attention to the road safety situation. About 1.3 million people die each year on the roads worldwide and between 20-50 million sustain non-fatal injuries. Mr. Surinder Verma, Chairman, Citizens Awareness Group accentuated that road accidents are an epidemic that the Government can no longer afford to ignore. Mr Hemant Upadhyay, Advisor-IT and Telecom, gave powerpoint Presentation and stressed on issues like Road design, driving skills, traffic management, vehicle design, policing, enforcement etc. The campaign concluded with that there is a dire need to form a strong and comprehensive Road Safety legislation immediately. Lastly, a pledge was held to follow the safety features/rules for road safety.
