The 61st Zonal Panjab University Youth and Heritage Festival 2019-20 (Zone-A) concluded today at Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 50, Chandigarh. Thirteen co-educational colleges of Chandigarh participated in the mega event spread to four days. More than 1600 students competed for 61 events such as Folk Dance, Music, Theatre, heritage and literary events. The competitions for Indian Orchestra, Folk Dance, Instrumental Music-Percussion & Non-Percussion Instruments were held today. The overall trophy of the Youth and Heritage Festival was bagged by GGDSD, College, Sector 32, Chandigarh. Prof. (Dr.) Nisha Aggarwal, Principal, GCCBA-50, Chandigarh welcomed Mr. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, P. C. S., Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh. He was the Chief guest for the valedictory ceremony of the function. The Chief Guest congratulated the students and wished them luck for their future endeavours. He stressed that the performance of the students was indeed commendable and emphasized that the extra-curricular activities along with academics are essential for the holistic development of the students. The Organising Secretary, Dr. Bikramjit Kaur, proposed the vote of thanks.
