Government College of Commerce and Business Administration held its prestigious Convocation Ceremony today to confer Post graduate and Graduate degrees to the graduating students of the academic years 2020-23 and 2021-24. The event, organized at Mini auditorium, marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of students who successfully completed their programs.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, from University Business School, and DCDC, Panjab University, Chandigarh was welcomed by College Principal, Dr. Shashi Wahi Khullar, Dean, Dr. Sangam Kapoor, Vice Prinicpal, Dr. Amarpreet Singh Sijher, and teaching staff of the college. Dr. Shahi Wahi Khullar introduced Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, to the audience and presented the Annual Report for the Session 2024-25, showcasing the notable achievements of the faculty and students during the academic session. Additionally, she also inspired students with insights on leadership, innovation, and lifelong learning.
In total, around 400 students received their degrees, roll of honour, college colour and merit awards for academic excellence and extra-curricular activities. The ceremony included the awarding of Postgraduate and Graduate degrees in various disciplines of Masters in Commerce, Bachelors in Commerce, Bachelors in Business Administration, and Bachelors in Computer Sciences.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Sanjay Kaushik stated, “This convocation stands as a testament to the resilience, determination, and academic spirit of our students and faculty. We are proud to celebrate their success and confident that they will contribute meaningfully to society.”
The event concluded by a vote of thanks by Dr Magesh V, the Convener of the event and the recitation of the Indian National Anthem by all present.
