The NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration (GCCBA), Sector‑50, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Vishvas Foundation, BKM Vishvas School (Sector‑9, Panchkula), and the Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh Branch under the leadership of Nodal Officer Ms. Punam Malik. GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh organized a blood donation camp on 16 September 2026 in the college campus. The initiative aimed to collect blood units exclusively for thalassemia patients, underscoring the college’s commitment to community service and health awareness.
The event was graced by Chief Guest, Principal Dr Sangam Kapoor. Dean Prof (Dr) Punam Agarwal; Vice‑Principal Dr Amarpreet S Sijher; Dr Aanchal Malik; Dr Yogesh Kumar (NSS Programme Officer); and Dr Subina Syal (Convenor, Red Ribbon Club) were also present. Chief Guest was felicitated with a memento by Vishvas Foundation. Around 25 faculty members and 120 volunteers enthusiastically participated, with their health parameters meticulously checked by medical teams.
NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club volunteers conducted awareness drives across various Chandigarh sectors from 12 September to 15 September 2026 to mobilize public support for this noble cause. In total, 80 units of blood were collected from staff, alumni, students, volunteers, and the general public, providing a lifeline to patients in need.
The college extends its gratitude to all donors and partners for making the camp a resounding success.
