AWARENESS MESSAGE ON VOTING THROUGH DIYAS AND FLORAL held on 08.11.2023

WRITING, AND SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN

Electoral Literacy Club of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector- 50, Chandigarh, organised three different activities to spread awareness and encourage young voters
to vote in upcoming General Elections, 2024. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Dinesh Rana, Election Supervisor (South), The Principal of the College, Dr Sangam Kapoor, welcomed him. The first activity was carried out to exhibit, “No Voter to be left behind”, through lightening of 251 diyas, and flower petals by the Chief Guest, Principal, Dean, Dr Amarpreet S Sijher, Dr Renuka Mehra,
Nodal Officer, Electoral Literacy Club and students of the college. They also signed a pledge on the flex, “I will vote for sure in Elections, 2024”. The second activity was a quiz tilted Gyan Pradhan
which 40 students participated. The winners were, Ms Mehak, Mr Gaurang, and Mr Sanyam. The third activity was, Heena and Tattoo making competition with the theme of “Voting Message”,
drawing on hands and arms. The judges were-Dr Bikramjit Kaur, Dr Aarti Kaushal, and Ms Aanchal Malik. There were 20 students who participated in this competition. The winners of the event were-
1 st -Ms Dinky and Ms Ankshita, 2 nd -Ms Riya Verma and Ms Simran, & 3 rd -Ms Krisha and Ms Kanan. The Chief Guest addressed the students on “Voting rights” and congratulated the Electoral Literacy Club team for conducting the series of competitions. The winners were awarded certificates.
