The NSS Units of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration Sector 50, Chandigarh organized an online meeting on 31 May 2023 to mark Anti-Tobacco Day. As a part of this initiative, conceived by the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Punam Agarwal, the volunteers were motivated by the encouraging words of Girls and Boys POs, Ms. Vandana Jain and Mr. Ashutosh Sharma, respectively. The NSS volunteers took a pledge on Anti-Tobacco Day which was followed by a presentation by an NSS volunteer, which highlighted the drawbacks of consumption of tobacco. Further, a few videos were presented depicting how one gets addicted to any type of tobacco. The takeaway from this online meeting for all the NSS volunteers is that smoking has a high cost on health, finances and the environment.  Anti-Tobacco Day serves as the reminder of the dangers of smoking and the benefits of quitting it. 

The Youth Club of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 50, Chandigarh organised the prize distribution on 06-06-2023 of students for attending 16 hours training programme along with Disha for Success in association with Talent Gro Global. 21 students were honoured under Midas Touch-Skill for Career & Business. The Chief Guest of the event was the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Punam Agarwal and Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal was the Guest Speaker (from Disha for Success). The coordinator of Youth Club, Dr. Bikramjit Kaur, presented the vote of thanks. In the end, the students were invited for tea with the Chief Guest and the Guest Speaker.

The 11th Annual Convocation was held at Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 50, Chandigarh. Prof. Baldev Setia, Director, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He was welcomed by the Principal of the Collge, Prof. (Dr.) Punam Agarwal, Staff and Students. She introduced the Chief Guest to the audience and presented the Annual Report of the college highlighting the achievements of the faculty and students during the session 2022-23.

The Chief Guest congratulated the graduates and prizewinners and applauded the rapid growth of the Institute in such a short time span. He advised the students to choose the right career and stick to it for the next three to four decades. Dr. Amar Preet Singh Sijher, Dean and Head of the Department of Commerce, presented the students of M. Com. and B. Com. for award of degrees. Dr. Bikramjit Kaur, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, presented the students of B. C. A. for award of degrees. Dr. V. Magesh, Head of the Department of Business Administration, presented the students for award of degrees in Business Administration. Today, 27 students of M. Com., 58 students of B. Com. (HONS), 39 students of B. Com. (GEN), 40 students of B. B. A. and 20 students of B. C. A. were awarded degrees. In addition to this, 9 students were presented Roll of Honour, 24 College Colour and 29 certificates of merit. Many other students were awarded with Certificates of Merit for outstanding achievements in cultural activities, sports and N. S. S.  Dr Bikramjit Kaur, Registrar (Examination) and Convener of the event presented the Vote of Thanks. The Indian Anthem was recited at the end.

Training, Placement and Counseling Cell of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration organized Campus Placement Drive at the campus on 21 April, 2023. It witnessed a tremendous turnout from graduate and postgraduate aspirations from the streams of Commerce, Business Management and Computer Applications. Hiring professional teams from Godrej & Boyce, Human Cap, Solitaire Infosys, Ellocent Labs, Netsmartz, eClerx, SPM Wealth, Escalon were welcomed by the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Punam Agarwal. The drive included multiple rounds of interviews and assessments, ensuring that the best talent was selected for the job roles offered by the participating companies. A total of 120 students were shortlisted for placements across various domains and functions. The event was Supervised by Dr. Aarti Kaushal (TPC Convenor) along with Faculty team members Ms. Kriti Mahajan & Mr. Manjeet Singh.

The 10th Annual Convocation was held in Government College of Commerce and Business
Administration, Sector 50, Chandigarh today. Shri Sofi Zahoor, Ex Chairman, CII
Chandigarh Council and SR Director India- HR & Operations, QuarkXPress Publishing,
R&D India the Chief Guest on the occasion. He congratulated the graduates and academic
prize winners and applauded the efforts for the holistic development of the students. He
exhibited his experience for the new Economic look in the world and shared his valuable
tricks to move faster in the growing economies. The Principal of the College, Prof (Dr.)
Punam Agarwal presented the Annual Report of the College highlighting the achievements of
the students during the sessions 2019-2020, 2020-21 and 2021-22. Dr Manoj K Bhambu, Dr
V Magesh, Vice- Principal and Mr. Amarpreet Singh Sijher, the Dean, respectively presented
the students of M.COM, B.COM, BBA and BCA for award of Degrees to the graduates.
Around 260 degrees were awarded to the students of M.COM, B.COM (Hons in Management
Studies and Economics), B. COM (pass course), BBA and BCA. Along with the degrees
students have received Roll of honors and College Color in Academics, 13 and 06
respectively. Dr Bikramjit Kaur presented the vote of thanks and congratulated the students.
